Mr. SmartAss Club Ringpage

The Mr. SmartAss Club is just what its name suggests: a WebRing composed of SmartAss participants around the world. To join the Mr. SmartAss Club webring, you must be an acknowledged SmartAss and have a Webpage of your own filled with smartass stuff, or know someone who will add the necessary HTML code onto their page for you. There is no requirement where the WebRing code is put on your page, as long as it is obvious and Webring can find it to test it (preferrably on your top page or close to it). Think of this WebRing as a gigantic circle around the globe. Each member of the WebRing is linked to others of like interests and coverage. Once anyone enters a WebRing, they can move from site to site all over the world and stay with sites of a particular interest group. The MSAC can take you to Internet sites all over the world devoted to being a Mr. SmartAss and to SmartAssity as we know it!

Join the Ring

Joining the ring is fairly easy. First, fill out the following form. When you finish, press the back button in your browser to come back here and read the rest of the instructions.

Next, you need to add an HTML blurb to one of your pages. You can do this one of two ways: by using this blurb, making sure to change "__your_site_here_" to the number you were just given as your site ID number, or, alternatively, you can wait for the email that is automatically sent to you upon joining the queue and copy the information there directly to your homepage (it will fill in the necessary values for you in the message). You will also need a copy of both the MSAC logo and the WebRing logo, both of which should be placed in your images or main directory. The banner should be set at width=185 and height=150 for best display in the tables.

After you have done both, email the Ringmaster and request addition to the ring. The Ringmaster receives a notice from the webring every time a new page is added to the queue and checks the queue daily but a direct email may speed up the process once you have everything installed and properly coded. After you have been added to the ring, you will receive an email message notifying you of the fact, as well as any other relevant information. It isn't as complicated as it sounds. [grin]

Or you can just the use the Java-based navbar [SSNB] code provided by WebRing.
